Q: Is Darkrose Manor a typical haunted house?
A: No. Darkrose Manor is a Halloween yard display. (Otherwise known as a 'yard haunt') This is a display that, for 2011, will be set up only in our front yard. As always - Visitors are not allowed inside the house. You thought the yard was scary! ;-)
Q: When is the best day to view Darkrose Manor?
A: To plan your visit towards the end of the month is best, as we will be setting up and building throughout the rest of the month. Most sounds, fog and other effects will not be running until October 30th and October 31st. We will run some, (but very limited) lighting from October 15th, though this is subject to weather restrictions. We open the gates for the short front yard walk-through on Halloween night only.
Q: What does it cost?
A: The Darkrose Manor haunted yard display is FREE to all!
Q: Where are you?
A: We are located in the 'Carriage Place' neighborhood in Southeast Aurora, Colorado. This is near South Tower and Hampden Rd.

When...
Display and Lights:
October 15th - October 30th: 6:00pm - 9:00pm
October 15th is the date we will begin to set out our display and lights only. We will not be running fog, sound effects or animatronics at this time.
Lights, Fog, Sound Effects:
October 30th: 7:00pm - 10:00pm This is Media & Test Night (We will allow press access on this night only.)
We will have most effects (though sound effects on low volume to be kind to our neighbors. ;-) running on October 30th, as we will likely be tweaking everything to make sure it is set and running properly. This is Test & Media Night Only. Those other than the media are restricted to viewing the display from beyond the fencing on this night.
October 31st: 7:00pm - 10:00pm
All effects, full sound. Be please aware that in the event of rain or snow, we will not be able to run lights, sound effects or fog.
Q: Is Darkrose Manor appropriate for all ages?
A: For the most part, yes. We strive to achieve an overall feeling of atmospheric dread at Darkrose Manor. We do not have a gory display currently, though some of our effects may frighten smaller children under the age of 5. We DO NOT have a man weilding a chainsaw that will chase you down the path. ;)
NOTE: Please be respectful of our neighbors and their properties if you plan to visit Darkrose Manor. The continuing success of Darkrose Manor relies heavily upon the kindness and respect that our visitors exhibit to our neighbors.
